Jerry Howard, 59, was a legend long before he died. Before cancer: a force of nature on the tennis court, a sailor of boats, a woodsman, an amateur softball coach. After cancer: a warrior with indomitable spirit and courage. Through it all: an artist, a wit, a craftsman, an arborist, and the best and funniest dad and husband on the planet. On Wednesday, September 2, 2015 he finally fell beneath the strength of the lymphoma hed fought for fifteen years. His wife Sandy, daughter Hanna, sons Jordan and Adam, and daughter-in-law Kelsey, for whose sake he fought so long and hard, feel incomparably blessed to have been loved by a man of such bravery, humor, faith, and overwhelming selflessness.
