March 13, 1956 - Feb 4, 2012 SAPULPA Greg grew up in Oklahoma City, attended West Nichols Hills Elementary, Hoover Junior High and graduated John Marshall High School in 1974. He was a baseball player, hunter, and fisherman and a friend to many.He began his professional career as a field right of way agent with Coates Field Service Company. He spent many years with Coates and was promoted regularly throughout his tenure and eventually became Vice President of Right of Way Services. Greg traveled throughout the continental United States selling, performing and managing projects for the oil and gas pipeline, electric transmission and transportation industries. He became recognized as an industry leader and was involved in many professional Right of Way activities and associations. Later in his career, he became President of Right of Way for Cinnabar Field Services and eventually founded his own firm Gilcrease and Partners.Greg had a special way with people, which he enjoyed and maintained until death. He had lifetime friendships with many friends he met while growing up and friends he made during his professional career. He was proud of his professional accomplishments, but his professional achievements paled in comparison to the pride and love he had for his only child, beloved daughter, Mariah Michelle. He was also a great stepfather to Lindsey and Heath Lockart.He was preceded in death by his older sister, Rainey; and father, "Skeet." In addition to his daughter, Mariah; and stepchildren, Lindsey and Heath; he is survived by his adoring wife, Nancy; loving mother, Jean; sister, Beverly; Beverlys husband, Mike; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.Greg will be missed by many. A memorial service will be held at Village Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, OK on Wednesday, February 8, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
