Guinevere Dudley was born September 19, 1928 in Newton, Iowa to Roy and Ida Barnes. As a child she lived with her family in Baltimore, Md. and later moved to Rock Island, Davenport and finally Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She met her future husband, Chester Dudley, on the steps of Cedar Christian Church where they would later be wed on June 23, 1946. Both were 18 years old and newly graduated from Wilson High School. She gave birth to three sons, Duane, Craig and Gary starting in 1948, each one a grade apart. The family moved from Cedar Rapids to Wichita, Kansas and on to Omaha, Nebraska where the son's graduated from High School. As a working mom Guin was employed at Northern Natural Gas in Omaha. Chet and Guin always stressed education and saw all three sons' graduate college. Chet and Guin retired to Table Rock Lake near Shell Knob Missouri. She enjoyed gardening and was a productive member of their community. Family members have decades of great memories at the lake. After Chet's passing she moved to Springfield Mo and then lived the last 14 years in Tulsa, Ok. near family. She enjoyed playing games and watching movies. She was a very loving and proud mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She sent each family member a card on their birthday every year. She will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband and older brother, Roy Jr, and younger sister, Alice.

She is survived by her three sons and their wives, seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one recently born great, great grandson, and a younger brother Larry Barnes.
