Richard Studenny was born February 15, 1946 in Suffern, N.Y. to Virginia and John Studenny of Stony Point, N.Y. He graduated from The University of Tulsa in 1967 where he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha. He continued his education there, receiving his Juris Doctor in 1970. He remained an avid Golden Hurricane fan and was a member of the Hurricane Club and former president of the University Of Tulsa College Of Law Alumni Association. Richard married Iris Kathleen Warlick July 4, 1970. They spent the early years of their marriage in Washington, D.C. where he served as Trial Attorney for the United States Department of Agriculture, Trade Regulation Division, and later for the Weyerhaeuser Company, Law Department in Hot Springs, Ark. In 1977 he established the law firm of J. Richard Studenny and Associates, whose clients included the Tulsa Airport Authority and Advance Research Chemical. In addition, Richard served as Municipal Judge for the City of Bixby and was an adjunct instructor in Aviation for Oklahoma State University and an instructor of Business Ethics for St. Gregorys University. Richard was predeceased by: his infant son; his parents; and his brother, Dennis. In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by: his daughters, Adriane Kathleen Bradshaw (husband Donivan), Anna Kathleen (fiance� Michael Krupka); grandchildren, Devin J. and Emerson Kathleen Bradshaw; and a host of other family and friends. He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his quick wit and as a man who was devoted to his family, friends and the work he loved. A celebration of Richards life will be held Friday, September 19, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Liberty Church, 7777 S. Garnett, Broken Arrow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Liberty Church Childrens Ministry (attention Paula McDaniel) or The Little Light House, Tulsa.
