9/1/1929 to 7/3/2013 James was born on September 1, 1929 to Ruth and Dennis Koenig. James grew up in Wagoner, OK. He later moved to Inola where he spent the rest of his life. He was 83. James served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and because of his level of service was honored with the Bronze Star. After the war James returned to Oklahoma where he started a trash and backhoe business. He was a manager at Rural Water District 7 for several years and Rural Water District 6 where he retired to spend more time raising cattle. He is survived by: his wife, Loleta Koenig, of Inola; children, Michael and wife, Barbara Koenig, Julie Sanders; grandchildren, Jannell and husband, Brad Zimmerman, Cassandra, Brook, and Adison Koenig; and greatgrandchildren, Elisha and Bedellia Zimmerman.
