IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James Hugh
Maness
December 23, 1937 – July 20, 2024
James Hugh Maness passed away at age 86 in his home on July 20, 2024 after battling years of health issues. He fought the end stages of Parkinson's with great strength and fortitude never losing his big smile.
Jim grew up on a dairy farm in Arkansas. After graduating high school, he joined the Airforce proudly serving his country and earned numerous expert marksman awards. He became a successful business man starting out in life insurance and land development. However, his proudest business achievement was owning and operating Magnum Screen Printing for the last 50 years. Jim's greatest joy was spending time with family and friends and his faithful dog, Rocky. He was always available to lend a hand when someone needed help or advice. He was an avid handball player and served on the board at the YMCA. He was known for his sense of humor and quick wit. Everyone that knew him thought he was the nicest man they ever met.
He was survived by his wife Vicki, son Mike, daughter Michelle, grandson Wyatt, sister Opal, and numerous nieces and nephews. His ashes will be scattered at Rolling Oaks Memorial Garden in a private family ceremony and his name engraved on the memorial wall.
Jim's presence in our lives brought immeasurable joy, love, and laughter, and for that, we are forever grateful.
