Obituary

James Owen Robison Jr. (Jim). age 63 of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021, due to complications of kidney failure and CIDP. Jim was born in Liberal, KS, on May 5, 1958 to James Owen Robison Sr and Marilyn Louise (Cole) Robison. Around the age of 3, Jim and his parents relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma where they resided until 1968. In 2005, Jim was afforded the opportunity to transfer back to the city he had always called home, Tulsa. In 2007, Jim found his true calling as a senior project manager for the BD/Pyxis Division where he was employed until his passing. On August 3, 1985 in Elk River, MN, he was joined in marriage to Caryn (Brooks) Robison and their adventures began. Making lifelong friends along the way. His love for fishing, camping and just being in the great outdoors was passed on to his two daughters. His wife and oldest daughter carry on his love of rock and mineral collecting. His youngest daughter carries on his passion for reading a good book and watching a great fantasy or Sci-Fi movie. Jim was also a published author, having written his first novel at age 16. He is preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn Robison and step-mother Betty Robison and mother in law Lois Brooks. He is survived by his wife, Caryn Robison, daughters Michelle England (Paul) and Lisa Robison; brother Mark Robison (Nancy) of Dothan, Alabama, sister Dawn Duff (Ed) of Carlsbad, NM; father Jim Robison, Sr of Lebanon, MO. Nieces Meagan (Donny) Blakley, Brande (Alejandro) Munoz, Sandra (Anthony) Jones and Crystal Bridgeman and nephews Copeland (Megan) Duff and Robert (Jessica) Nasluchacz and their families. Bonus sisters Teresa Jones and Missy Broyles and their families. Thank you to his lifelong friends, Gene Birk, Doug Birkeland, Randy Schroeder and Johann Bonhart, Caryn's father and brother Ron and Mike Brooks for sharing in his journeys during his lifetime. He was just getting to know his new friend Clayton Andrews and little Sophie and Ezra whom he adored. Great appreciation to his team at BD/Pyxis for being like family to him. Thank you to his caregivers at Elara Caring Home Health and Hospice for exceptional care in the past years. Many thanks to his healthcare providers, especially Nephrology Specialists of Oklahoma, Dr. Todd Dunaway, Dr. John Eckenrode and Davita Dialysis Berkshire PD and Broken Arrow HD.
