Janet Sue Carrick, of Broken Arrow, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2026. Janet was born on September 27, 1950, in Webb City, Missouri, to Charles and June (Smith) Carrick, who preceded her in death. 

Janet was blessed to spend the last four months of her life surrounded by the love and care of nurses and aides at Aspen Health and Rehab. 

Janet was a caring, loving person who could talk to anyone, which she did a lot. She was fun, witty, sometimes quarrelsome, and she lived her life just as she wanted. She loved her family without reservation. She enjoyed doing needlepoint, watching Oak Island, researching family history, and reading romance novels. Janet was the big sister who was always available to talk to on the phone, maybe longer than planned, and you could count on plenty of "and everything". During her working years, she held various data processing jobs in the banking field. 

Janet is survived by her sisters Carol Mason (John) and Kathy Masters (Bob), numerous nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and a close friend of fifty-one years, Paula Patterson. 

The family would also like to thank Sara, Megan, Savana, Tanner, and all the nurses and aides at Suncrest Hospice for caring for and loving Janet.
