Jay Davis, a Retired Right of Way Agent, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at Rebold Manor in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Jay was born March 30, 1924, in Chandler, Texas, to Alba C. and Maude (Cotten) Davis. He was 89 years old. Jay was a Decorated World War II Veteran of the United States Army. He was a family guy who loved his grandkids and great-grandkids. He is survived by his sons: James Alba Davis and wife Ida of Beggs, Oklahoma, John Davis also of Beggs; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings: Margie Norris of Dallas, Texas, Maudine Turner also of Dallas, Nolan Davis of Athens, Texas, Jerrie Harrell of Chandler, Texas, Royce Davis also of Chandler, Freda Catching of Houston, Texas; and many nieces and nephews and other loving family. Jay was preceded in death by his parents Alba and Maude Davis, his wife Lillian Nell Davis, grandson Charles "Bubba" Davis, sister Erma "Pud" Lash, and sister-in-law Bonnie Davis.
