Jay was born April 30, 1954, in Wichita, KS. The third son of LaVern and Dorthea Pauls. Jay loved working on cars and engines. As an adult went to school and received his Associates Degree at Butler County Community College. Jay tested and received his A & P Certificate for working on airplanes. He moved to Tulsa in 2007 to be near Anita Presley and his brother Loren's family. He landed his "dream job" building airplanes at Tinker Air Force Base. He really enjoyed his work and his coworkers even though they wanted him to shave off his beard! Jay was a Christian and loved attending Faith Life Church in Branson, Mo, an area he especially enjoyed. Jay frequently visited Branson with Anita and they had planned to buy a home and retire there. Jay and Anita attended Mennonite Relief Sales in Oklahoma and Kansas, where they had lots of friends. Survivors include: Anita Presley, Significant other; Brother Dennis and Janis Pauls; Vicki Pauls, Sister in law; Nephew Randy and Vonda Pauls; Nieces Abby and Caleb Cooley, Katie and Michael Baker, Mindy and Ryan Mullins, Luna and Greg Coleman. Preceded in death by parents, LaVern and Dorthea Pauls, Brother Loren Ray Pauls. Private family graveside memorial in Kansas.
