Jean Louise Kinney, 85, passed away May 9, 2012. Born September 16, 1926 in Monmouth, Illinois. She grew up on a farm, played center on her high school basketball team, and ran track. She married Wayne Kinney on December 15, 1947 and they have been together for 64 years. Jean worked for the Navy during World War II. Later, she worked in the insurance industry. She ministered to women's prison inmates, volunteered as a crisis hot-line counselor, and was an integral member of the children's ministry at her church. But her true loves were being a devoted wife, a mother to seven children, and her sewingnot necessarily in that order. She is survived by her husband Wayne, children Kathy (David) Pack Sugar Hill, Georgia, Donna (John) Wiedower Broken Arrow, Laurie (David) Daugherty Tulsa, Michael (Kathy) Kinney London UK, Patrick (Jenifer) Kinney Oklahoma City, Matthew (Cathy) Kinney Thornton, Colorado, 27 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by daughter Georgia Hammond.
