Jeffrey Allen Johnson, 51, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, died Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at St. Francis Hospital following a short illness.
Jeff was born September 18, 1967, in El Paso, Texas, to George Zeke and Mary Lou (Anderson) Johnson.
Jeff graduated from Ellison High School in Killeen, Texas, while his stepfather, Steven Summers, Sr., was stationed with the U.S. Army at Fort Hood, Texas. He earned his associate degree in Building Trades from Texas State Technical College in Waco, Texas.
Jeff was a master woodworker and started his career as a cabinet maker. His last job, which he had been doing for many years, was building and finishing corporate jets for Bizjet in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Jeff met his love, Glendel Withrow, in Tulsa and spent his final years with her.
Jeff enjoyed building things, especially with wood, and had a love of sailing. He enjoyed the peaceful times sailing on Lake Oologah with friends.
Jeff is survived by his love, Glendel Withrow of Tulsa, Oklahoma; mother Mary Summers of Hackett, Arkansas; sisters Debbie (John) Doty of Oskaloosa, Iowa, Ann (Daniel) Clark of Pocola, Oklahoma, and Grace (Brandon) Decremer of Shawano, Wisconsin; brothers Aaron (Anh) Johnson of Fort Smith, Arkansas; Steven (Maria) Summers of North Little Rock, Arkansas; David Summers of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Jeremy (Jennifer) Johnson of Wyoming, Michigan, and Anthony Patrick of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his biological father, his much loved stepfather, and brothers William Johnson and Jonathan Greer.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Salvation Army Tulsa Citadel.
A memorial service is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at the Salvation Army Tulsa Citadel
