On July 4, 2019, Jennifer L. Younger (James) passed from our world to join her Heavenly
Father.
Jennifer was more than a mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, daughter and friend. She was a beautiful person, a gifted artist and interior designer and a fierce Yahtzee player.
Jennifer was born on August 11, 1946 in Joplin, Missouri. She spent her early years moving around the country and ended in Houston to graduate in 1964 from Bellaire High School.
Jennifer is preceded in death by her grandparents, Esther and Walter Ludwig, Lloyd and Verna James and her loving parents Virgil and Carol Lee James.
She is survived by an amazing family including: her children: Brian Younger, Shawn Younger and Megan Brewer (Jeremy); her four legged child: Doris; her grandchildren: Cole and Sadie Younger and James, Emily and William Brewer; her brother, Dennis James (Laraine) and her sister, Anne Vasile
her nieces and nephews: Jeffrey James (Jill), Tim James (Doreen), Janice Dunlap (David), Alex Vasile (Tracy), Christy Mulroy (Tom), Diana Vasile-Diesel (David).
Jennifer was dedicated to helping others and spent many years working with patients at A New Voice. She fully embraced her "microphone", as the boy next door called it. Jennifer wanted to show others that life goes on even after a laryngectomy.
Jennifer touched so many people in her life with her friendship, her artistic gifts and her amazing courage and strength.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Jennifer's fabulous friends Molly Pezold, Patty Lansford, Peggy Jackson, Maralene Coggins and Nancy Tholen for their never ending support. A special thank you goes to the amazing people at Kindful Hospice, Palliative and Virtual Care who provided physical, medical and emotional support to Jennifer and her family during her final weeks.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
Memorial Services for Ms. Younger will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2019, 10:00 am, at Stanley's Funeral Home Chapel.
