IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jimmy
Snow
December 9, 1950 – November 24, 2023
Jimmy Snow passed away peacefully on November 24th, 2023. He was born in Artesia, New Mexico on December 9, 1950. Shortly after his birth, he moved to Henrietta, Oklahoma where he lived life to the fullest.
He ran amuck, causing mischief with his friends until his heart was captured by Kay Bollinger in the summer of '69. He loved Kay more than anything and wouldn't even let a stint in Vietnam stand in the way. After he returned home in 1971, he attended OSU-Okmulgee for a degree in Computer Science. He and Kay were married on March 16th, 1974. They moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma at that time and started their life together. Ryan Thomas was born on May 9th, 1980, and Preston James on April 28th, 1982. The family was complete, minus a few dogs here and there.
In January 1990, Jimmy decided to start over and moved the family to Stillwater, Oklahoma to pursue a degree in Fire Protection and Safety Engineering. He graduated in December of 1993 and then took a job with Central Machine and Tool in Enid, Oklahoma in spring of 1994. In the summer of 1999, he took on another adventure with Johnson Controls that took him all over the country for consulting. During this, he spent a lot of time in San Diego where he fell in love with the beach and surfing.
After the kids graduated from high school and college and then married, Jim and Kay moved back to the Tulsa area in 2018, to be closer to family. Jimmy suffered a heart attack in July of 2010, but fought a tremendous fight and never stopped smiling. He loved God and his family. He always had a smile on his face, even at the very end.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, John and Marie; and his two brothers, Don and John.
He is survived by his wife Kay, his two sons, Ryan and Preston, two daughters-in-law, Priscilla and Jennie, six grandchildren, Kinley, Wyatt, Isla, Rylan, Everly, and Ashlyn; his sister Elizabeth Cooper; and numerous nieces and nephews.
