Jimmy Wayne Zimmerman, 61, passed away on August 6, 2022, in Broken Arrow. Funeral services will be held 10 am on August 18, 2022, at Fort Gibson National Cemetery with Chaplin Kirk officiating. Arrangements are by Cremation Society of Oklahoma. Jimmy Wayne was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Charles and Betty Zimmerman on July 14, 1961. He went to Broken Arrow High school and graduated in May of 1979. Thereafter, he enlisted in the Navy and began basic training in the summer of 1979. He received his certification from The US Naval Electronics Technician School in June of 1980. He was enlisted with the United States Navy for 9 years. After his discharge from the military, he worked for Verizon for more than 10 years before working for the VA Medical Center in Muskogee/Tulsa for the past 7 years. Jimmy was such a kind and loving soul. His quick wit and loving nature is truly missed by both family and friends. Jimmy Wayne is preceded in death by his son Benjamin Zimmerman and his mother Betty Zimmerman. Jimmy is survived by his father Charles Zimmerman. His brother Jon David Zimmerman and spouse Kerry Zimmerman His nieces Kayci Andrews and Kortney Lucas.
