Joyce Brown Smith was born June 8, 1946 in Anadarko, Ok to Iva Brown and Grace Reese. Joyce passed into the hands of God on March 19, 2018. Joyce is survived by her husband, Carl Dwayne Smith, her children; Haskell Murphy Jr. (Sonny), Bobby Morris, Louise Smith, Sharon Smith, Theresa Smith, Carl Smith Jr., Brandi Andretti and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joyce and Carl Dwayne met later in life and married in 1999. Carl Dwayne would fondly refer to Joyce as 'Joycee' and said she loved to get him on the dance floor. Later they would move to the country where they enjoyed the peacefulness of country life. Carl Dwayne would work in the yard while Joyce would make lunch for them and then take him a glass of tea in the afternoon. They took turns 'doting' on each other. They were ' two peas in a pod'. Joyce was a loving wife and Christian and started each day reading scripture form the Bible. She enjoyed her church family, church pot lucks and made the best potato salad. She would proudly hold Carl Dwayne's hand during church service. Joyce will be greatly missed by her husband, children, church family and friends.
