Obituary

Karen Lillian Cotton, 69, peacefully passed from this life and into the presence of her Lord after a lengthy illness on March 20, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Karen was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on June 20, 1946, one of three daughters and one son of Otha Ray and Norma Mack. She grew up in Mobile, Alabama, Alexandria, Virginia and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Karen was married to Larry W. Cotton on January 9, 1969 and they spent many happy years together. They were blessed with a son, Jason Mack Cotton and a grandson, Jason Mack Cotton, Jr. Karen was retired from ONEOK, Inc. She lived a full life as a caring wife and Mother. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1999 with a degree in Liberal Studies. She was very active in community theater in the 1990's where she pursued a lifelong dream and made many friends. She is survived by her husband, Larry W. Cotton, son, Jason Mack Cotton, grandson, Jason Mack Cotton, Jr. sister, Toni Mack, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Owen and Barbara Cotton, niece, Carla Cotton and Cathy Cohn, nephew, Ted Cotton and wife Gerri, nieces, Dawn Hayes, Dorothy Perkins, Shalaine Warren, Rene Holoubek and nephews, David Clymer and Stephen Clymer. The family wishes to especially thank the doctors and nurses at St. Francis Hospital hospice unit for their kind and loving care. Memorial gifts in Karen's honor can be made to Clarehouse Hospice at 7617 S. Mingo Rd., Tulsa, Oklahoma 74133. Private graveside services will be held at a later date in Crescent, Oklahoma.
