Karen Sue (Whitley) Graham, 71 of Broken Arrow, OK passed away on July 7, 2016 in her sleep at home after a valiant battle against cancer. Sue was born April 3, 1945 in Borger, Texas to Ransom Clayton and Myrle Margaret Whitley. She was raised in Buffalo and was the tallest girl in the Buffalo High School Class of 1963. Sue met the love of her life, Don Graham, in elementary school and he finally convinced her to go out with him when they were 15 years old. Don proposed to Sue and they were married May 21, 1966. Sue worked for 11 years as an LPN before transitioning to education and then ultimately, property management. Sue and Don welcomed their one and only son, John Paul Graham, August 16, 1971 who has been their source of pride since the day he was born. When Don and Sue moved to OKC in 1977, she insisted on working and ensured her schedule allowed her to be home with John during school breaks. She was committed to taking care of Don and John as well as their family friend, Pete Dennehy. Sue and Don loved Pete's girls, Carrie and Amanda and their children as their own. Sue is survived by her husband, Don of 50 years, son John and wife Adrianne Covington Graham, granddaughter Darian Covington, Carrie and John Wichert, their daughters Samantha and Allison, Amanda and Chris Crotts, their children Owen, Evan, and Eva, and Sarah and Matt Shephard, their children M.J. and Colt along with many friends and family from across the world.
