Karen Haworth, 82, passed away on February 27, 2026.

Karen was born in Junction City, Kansas. Her parents were Marcella and Jacob Burson. She grew up and attended high school in Dwight, Kansas and worked for several years at Fort Riley in Junction City before moving to Tulsa in the 1960s. Karen worked at a power company before accepting a position at Christ United Methodist Church where she was an administrative assistant for 40 years.

Karen married Fred Haworth in 1969 and the couple had a daughter, Laura, in 1971. Later, in 2012, she married Michael (Mick) Suess of Tulsa and they were married at the time of her passing in 2026.

Karen loved gardening, music, her cats and her husband (sometimes in that order).

She is survived by her husband Mick and her daughter Laura.
