Kathleen "Moody" Haley, 73 of Tahlequah, OK, died May 27th, 2019.
She was born in Loma Linda, CA. July 5th, 1945 and was the youngest daughter of Homer and Carmen Moody. Her early childhood was spent in Winslow, Herber-Overgaard, and Williams , Arizona where her father worked for the U.S. Forrest Service and later moved to Holbrook, Arizona.
Kathleen graduated with honors from Holbrook High School and received a college scholarship to Arizona State University. Kathleen wanted to be a school teacher, but spent only one year at ASU before returning back to Holbrook, where she met her husband Robert Joseph Haley III.
After her daughter graduated HS, she and her husband moved to Scottsdale, Arizona and later Mesa, Arizona. After her husband's death in 1994 she relocated to Wagoner, Oklahoma and finally Tahlequah, OK.
She is survived by her only daughter, Kimberly Haley-Bravo, son in law Frank, granddaughters Haley Bravo of Sand Springs, OK, Marisa Bravo of Tulsa, OK, and Megan Bravo of Norman, OK. She has one surviving sister June Petersen of Scottsdale, AZ.
Kathleen loved books/reading, children, flowers, and all living creatures. She always had beautiful gardens of flowers and vegetables.
She was genuinely kind to everyone, and a good hearted Mother, Grandmother and person, who was truly loved by many.
Memorial Services will be held at Green Acres Mortuary and Cemetery at 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ at a date to be determined.
