Kathryn Depwe McCarty, 66, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday evening, July 12th, 2017 following a prolonged illness. Kathy was born June 24, 1951 in Levelland, TX and grew up in Orange and Odessa, TX. She attended Permian High School in Odessa. Kathy enjoyed several careers in her life including advertising sales (newspapers), banking, and as a flight attendant for United Airlines. After retirement, she assumed her role as a stay-at-home professional shopper and Grandson chaser. Kathy is survived by husband George C. McCarty, sons Chad Sandell, Russell (Halley) McCarty and Brad (Aly) McCarty, her sister Nancy (Curtis) Britt and brother Randy (Barbara) Depwe. Also her nieces Dr. Shanna Britt and Amy Depwe (Randy) Schwartz and nephews Kent Depwe and Andy (Diane) Depwe. She has three grandsons, Cannon Sandell, Case Sandell, and Jace McCarty, all who are the light of her life. Her fur baby's include her Yorkies 'Dash Ledoux' and 'Gabby', and the cat, Riley. Her family and friends loved her for her sparkling wit and fun loving personality. She will be greatly missed. Memorial services are planned for Tulsa on Monday July 17th, 11:00 a.m. at the Cremation Society Chapel at 2103 E 3rd Street, Suite 101, Tulsa, OK, (918) 599-7337, and a second memorial service planned at the First Baptist Church of Odessa, Texas on July 25th at 11:00 am.
