IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kenneth Roger
Polston
August 2, 1941 – May 28, 2025
We announce the passing of treasured husband and beloved father, Kenneth Roger Polston, on May 28th, 2025. He quietly lived with cancer for many years, only sharing with immediate family, while continuing to find ways to help others help themselves.
He was born on August 2, 1941 in Henryetta, Oklahoma. He was the second son of Charles and Maxine Polston (deceased) and was preceded in death by his brother Don. He was a 1959 graduate of Henryetta High School and a 1964 graduate of Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jeanie Ayres Polston, his daughter April (Michael), his son Roger (Kristen), and grandsons Alexander and Samuel.
Twice retired, he held many positions with OZ-Gedney (Nelson Electric) and Armstrong Flooring which allowed travel around North America. Together with his wife, they had motorhome adventures that brought travel to 48 of the 50 states.
He assisted others by giving openly of his time and talents, providing opportunities and assistance without request, and not seeking acknowledgement in return. He felt the most appreciation seeing people move forward with the knowledge and wisdom he imparted to them.
His desire was to pass without a memorial service and let those that were touched by him memorialize him with acts of kindness and assistance to those in need. His favored charities were St. Jude's, Shriners, and, most recently, the Lori Crawford Excellence in Teaching Scholarship Fund (www.cfok.org.)
