IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Larry Wayne
Larson
February 26, 1955 – July 13, 2025
Larry Wayne Larson, 70, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, left this world peacefully on July 13, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 26, 1955 in Enid, Oklahoma to Floyd Larson and Carrie (Dittmeyer) Larson. His early childhood years were spent in Missouri and at the age of nine he relocated to San Antonio, Texas with his family. He attended college in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and graduated from Oklahoma Wesleyan University (formerly Bartlesville Wesleyan College) in 1986 with a BA in Business Administration.
Larry worked in the insurance industry as a health and life insurance salesman, the Postal Service as a mail carrier and as a truck driver, which fulfilled his desire to see the country. Larry loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing. He never knew a stranger and enjoyed sharing experiences with friends and family. His unique sense of humor and perspectives on life and his observations will always be cherished.
He is survived by his two daughters, Rachel (Larson) Metcalf-Jacoby and Jamie (Larson) Kipps, their mother Sue Wentworth-O'neal, and his grandchildren, Eli Metcalf, Kenedi Jacoby, Brylee Kipps, Kadin Kipps and Kolt Kipps. Also surviving Larry are his siblings, Sherry (Larson) Clarkson, Paul Larson, and Donna (Larson) Meurin. He is also survived and remembered by numerous friends and extended family.
He was proceeded in death by his mother, Carrie (Dittmeyer) Larson, his father, Floyd Larson, his brother Duane Larson, and his grandson Kai Kipps.
Larry will be missed as a loving father, brother, grandpa, uncle and friend. His family is thankful to all his caregivers who showed such loving compassion to him over the years; his neighbors/friends who watched after him when he needed help and encouragement and most importantly, we are thankful for his relationship with Jesus Christ and his eternal salvation and freedom from all pain.
