Larry Dean Todd, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed from this life surrounded by family on August 25, 2021. Larry was born March 26, 1946 in Coffeyville, Kansas, to Donald and Vera (Berner) Todd, who preceded him in death.
Larry is survived by his wife, Deanna Todd, of Tulsa, OK; three children, Mike Todd and wife Misty, Joe Todd, Patricia Cody and husband Randall of Tulsa, OK; two step-children, John Hatfield and wife Vashti of Locust Grove, OK and Michelle Atkinson and husband David (Buddy) of Bixby, OK; twelve grandchildren: Anna, Alison, Christopher, Ainsley, Abigail, Amelia, Madeline, and Roman Todd, and Nathaniel, Matthew, Phillip, and Elizabeth Cody; five step-grandchildren Amanda Mann and husband Kyle, Zachary Hatfield, Megan Martin, Mandy Atkinson, and Shelby Atkinson.
Larry was a private, humble, and gentle man with a good sense of humor. He showed quiet strength. His high intelligence was expressed in mathematics, mechanics, and electronics over the years. He was a master of all tools with the ability to repair or rebuild anything. Larry also enjoyed building models, engines, computers, and remote-control airplanes.
Larry had a lifetime career in aviation. He was an avionics specialist as well as an airframe and powerplant mechanic spending 35 years employed at American Airlines until his retirement in 2006.
Larry was a member St. Pius X parish of Tulsa. He loved spending time with Deanna, and his children and grandchildren, traveling, reading, listening to music, and motorcycle riding.
