Obituary

Linda Jean Jackson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2026, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, at the age of 83. She was born on January 15, 1943, in Prescott, Kansas, to Frank Patrick and Cora Ellen Cromer.

Linda built a career as an accountant, working at Sheridan Lanes Bowling Alley and several construction companies, including Flint Industries. While working at Flint, she joined Toastmasters, an experience that helped her develop her communication skills and confidence. She later put those skills to use at WorldCom, where she worked as an accountant and software instructor serving the Tulsa area.

Outside of her professional life, Linda had many talents and interests. She was an exceptional cook and had a remarkable gift for gardening, seemingly able to bring even the most struggling plants back to life. She also enjoyed painting and studying art, with a particular appreciation for the colors and beauty found in nature.

Linda was an active member of several organizations, including National Women in Construction, Tumbleweeds Square Dance Club, National Council of Catholic Women, and Beta Sigma Phi International. She generously gave her time to others through volunteer service as a Eucharistic Minister, voter registrar, and supporter of Catholic Youth Ministries. She also volunteered at Saint Francis Hospital.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, four brothers, and her daughter, Anne Marie Evans.

She is survived by her daughters, Laura Jean Lee and her husband, Larry, and Carmen Anita Daugherty. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Nathan Chilcoat, Cora Chapman, Angela Jobe, Laura Ezell, Daniel Lee, Katie White, Chase Chastain, Jessica Maas, and Kyle Daugherty, as well as her great-grandchildren, Michael Jobe, Joshua Jobe, Hayden Ezell, and Taylor White.

Linda will be remembered for her wit, fortitude, humor, warm smile, and generosity. Her many talents, her willingness to keep learning, and the kindness she shared through her service to others will remain part of the legacy she leaves to her family and all who knew her.

A graveside service will be held on November 6, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
