Friday, March 3, Linda L. Olson, age 61, formerly of the Tulsa area, went to be with God after 17 months of handling Brain Cancer. Linda was an "Army Brat" but spent most of her younger years in Junction City, Kansas. The last 20 plus years were spent in Alaska which she described as "Gods country". She was a case worker with public assistance for the state of Alaska in Achorage until her diagnosis. She loved the water falls in Alaska and taking drives to discover new ones. Linda was proceeded in death by her son Michael, of Tulsa Oklahoma; parents, Edna "Renee" and Werner "Ollie" Olson of Sapulpa Oklahoma; grandparents, Andy and Mark Syko of Junction City, Kansas. Loving and missing her deeply is a large extended family which includes two brothers Jerry Olson of Tulsa and John Olson of Temecula, California, two sisters Laura Sullivan of Sapulpa and Debra Lestrud of Tulsa. She cherished and loved her children Julie Beasley of Tulsa and Janathan Thompson of Anchorage. Her legacy lived on in her grandchildren Tara Bridgwater and Chris Thompson of Tulsa, Chrystal Lambling of Herman Missouri, Alex Thompson of Juneau Alaska and AnaMaria, Bryce and Adriana Thompson of Anchorage. She was blessed also with great grandchildren Michael and Makaela of Tulsa with one on way. No services are planned but the family asks that you celebrate your own lives now. Dance in the rain, jump in a mud puddle and just be free!
