IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lora Jai
Taff
January 22, 1986 – September 24, 2025
Lora Jai Taff, lovingly known as Lora Lou to her family, transitioned from this life to her new home with the Lord on September 24, 2025, at Saint Francis Hospital after a courageous 21-year battle with cancer. She was 39 years old.
Born January 22, 1986, in Claremore, Oklahoma, Lora lived with a big heart, a strong will, and a deep love for her family and friends. Her heart was filled with love for God and for those lucky enough to know her.
Lora found joy in life's simple but meaningful pleasures. She loved music — from My Chemical Romance and Taylor Swift to Lady Gaga and her lifelong affection for The Beatles. Behind the wheel of her beloved Mini Coopers, music blaring, she was in her element — often saying, "Turn it up!" Movies also brought her joy, especially John Wayne classics. She had a special love for her cats, with Fluffy holding a permanent place in her heart.
She cherished the independence she had while living in Tulsa, where she worked at Whole Foods and delighted in her apartment. What mattered most to her, though, was giving herself completely to family and friends in ways that were always touching and deeply felt. Lora was kind, caring, and resilient — no one ever told her what to do, and that strong will was part of what made her unforgettable.
Lora is survived by her mother, Marilyn Taff; sisters Charlene Parker and Melissa Bentley; brother-in-law Stacy Parker; nieces Labrina Bentley and Jessica Usry; nephew Corry Parker; cousin Michelle Hale; uncle and aunt Charles and Andie Walker; and countless friends who meant the world to her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Larry James Taff; her aunt, Sharon Locklear; and her grandmothers, Overa Taff and Theresa Henry.
Lora will be cremated and rest at Rolling Oaks in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with her name etched in the Rose Garden Wall, a lasting tribute to a life filled with love and light.
At Lora's request, there will be no service, but a memorial will be held at a later date.
To those who knew her, Lora leaves behind this simple reminder: "You do you." Always inclusive, always loving, she will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
