Obituary

Lucretia Georgene Needham, 85, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on June 17, 2026. 

Born on May 11, 1941, in Eufaula, Oklahoma, Lucretia lived a life characterized by intelligence, faith, and devotion to those she loved. She graduated from Muskogee Central High School, where she earned recognition as an outstanding member of the debate team. Her sharp mind and dedication to helping others led her to a career as a paralegal for a criminal defense attorney in Bakersfield, California, for twenty years. 

A devout Jehovah's Witness, Lucretia's faith was a guiding force throughout her life. She was known for her kindness, strong convictions, and caring spirit. She had a special love for cats, particularly Persian cats, which brought her much joy and companionship over the years. 

Lucretia was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert J. Needham and Georgetta Jeweldene Burns. 

She is survived by her brother, Bobby Needham, and her cherished family members: Denise & Billy Lee Yarbrough, Hannah Needham, Meryl & Brandon Shanks, Connie & Hank Coviello, Steve & Michelle Ceasar, Gail Needham, Rita Jackson, Nila Lewis, Mary Lou Montgomery, and Rudy Hogan. 

Lucretia will be remembered for her intelligence, loyalty, faith, and the quiet but lasting impact she made on the lives of those who knew her. 

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no memorial service. Lucretia will be cremated and laid to rest beside her mother at Eufaula Cemetery in Eufaula, Oklahoma. 

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
