Obituary

Margie Mae Callison Flournoy passed away on October 7, 2017 at the age of 93. She was born on July 1, 1924 to Eri and Gertie Mae Callison of Pryor, OK the seventh of eleven children. Margie lived life "Her way." Whether sneaking out as a teen with her brother, Hoop to see Bob Wills and The Texas Playboys at the Cains ballroom, stopping for a street photographer in Denver, or working as a telephone operator in Muskogee during WWII, she was always up to something. Even trying to stitch up her brothers head from an accidental whack while digging potatoes, at least until their Mom caught her. She was always quick with the quips until her last breath. The Dr. asked her if she smoked and drank, and how much? She replied, "Yes, but it depended on who she was with.' She is survived by her siblings, Eugene Callison, Pryor and Louise Sisk, Houston; her children, Bonnie Masterson, Tulsa, Linda Bryson,and husband Kelly, Broken Arrow, George Flournoy, Tom Flournoy, Tulsa, and Richard Flournoy, Park Hill; grandchildren, Alisa Dougless, Tulsa, Whitney Hostetter, Broken Arrow, Zac Bryson, Tulsa, Benjamin Bryson, Owasso, Nathan Bryson, Broken Arrow, Dr. Brian Flournoy, Tulsa, Michelle Flournoy, Brian Farmer, Muskogee, and Don Flournoy, North Carolina; and great grandchildren, Noah and Jonah Hostetter, Broken Arrow, Maxwell and Riley Bryson, Broken Arrow, Karter Flournoy, Tulsa, and extended families. She was preceded in death by her parents; 8 siblings and 3 stepchildren including Vivian Flournoy Farmer. She spent the last four years of her life at The Villages of Southern Hills Tulsa where she lived in complete comfort and caring attention. She was a beautiful, feisty woman. An avid reader, fashion conscious, junk food loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and friend. She loved her nickname "Audi" given by her Granddaughter, Alisa, as a baby who wanted to call her Margie, but could only say "Audi." "Audi" will be missed. A memorial of her life is this Saturday, October 14th at 11:30 am at the OU-Tulsa Schusterman Campus at 41st and Yale in the faculty staff lounge.
