We celebrate the memory of Mary Louise (Maxey) Maher who passed away on December 19, 2020. With her passing, we lost a mother, grandmother, neighbor, parishioner and a wonderful friend of children and dogs. She was predeceased by her husband David James Maher. She is survived by her three children Kem (Maher) Hagadorn (husband Dave), Jamie Louise Maher and Patrick Maher, and her two grandchildren Kiernan Maher and Aidan Maher. Louise was born in Porum, Oklahoma on January 30, 1928 to parents Ira and Iva (Nickell) Maxey, the 9th of their ten children. After graduating from Porum High School in 1946, she attended Northeastern State College before moving to Tulsa, starting a career and establishing a family. Always a hard worker, Louise raised her three children, volunteered with many community organizations and also helped her husband run Dave Maher & Associates, a company that is still thriving 57 years later. In her later years she was known to laugh a lot, always have room for one cookie and instinctively know when it was time for the Lord's prayer. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, 10:30 a.m. at Christ the King (16th and Quaker), following all COVID protocols. Private Interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
