Marye Jacquelyn Ponselle Allen, born in Shreveport, Louisiana January 9, 1932, to Elizabeth Irene Douciere Ponselle and

John Oran Ponselle.

Marye grew up with her 4 sisters; Freddie Spohrer, Peggy Spohrer, Nell Britner & Jean Rains. She attended a social at Barksdale Airforce Base with her sister Nell where she met Gene Allen. They married and had 4 children, Anita, Cecil, Jackie and Peggie in 3 years before moving to Tulsa.

She was the proprietor of Marye's Custom Draperies and held many interesting jobs over her life.

In 1975 she moved to Louisiana, then in 1977 she moved to St George Island for the greatest adventure of her life. In 1984 she moved to Shreveport LA to help with her premature granddaughter, Jennifer. In the early 90s she moved back to Tulsa to be with her children. She returned to Louisiana in 2002 and lived with her son, Cecil. In 2014 she returned to Tulsa where she remained with her daughters and many family members.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her twin John Jr., her sisters Freddie & Peggy, as well as her son, Cecil Allen.

Marye is survived by her sisters Nell & Jean, daughters Anita Presley, Jackie Allen and Peggie Langston (Brian); Grandchildren

Dorinda Alexander (Daniel), John Presley (Rebekah), Luke Wisdom (Jessica), Lydia Presley, Matthew Presley (Jamie), Jimmy Ryals (Kelsey), Jennifer Mace (Jerry), Jaynie McLain (Matt), Candrance White (Kevin) and 21 great grandchildren as well as a host of beloved Nieces & nephews.
