Matthew was born to Robert Martinez and Elizabeth MacOmber Martinez on July 18, 1974 in Yuma, Arizona. Growing up, Matthew lived in Yuma, AZ, Miami, FL, El Centro, CA, before the family settled down in El Paso, TX in 1986. Matthew married the love of his life Jessica Nicole Lemke on March 26, 2005 in El Paso, TX. Matthew and Jessica welcomed their son Taylor Matthew Martinez on July 18, 2002. Matthew graduated from Coronado High School and El Paso Community College with an Associates of Radiologic Technology and a Certification of Computed Tomography. In the proceeding years he worked for many local hospitals to include Sierra Medical Center, University Medical Center and Las Palmas Medical Center. In 2022, he decided to become a travel technician continuing his career with PrimeTime Health and worked in Salt Lake City. UT at InterMountain Medical Center and in Tulsa, OK at St. Francis Hospital. Matthew had a great love of football and was an avid Miami Hurricanes Football fan since the age of 8. Matthew enjoyed traveling, spinning music on his free time, photography, and spending a lot of time with his family and his friends. He will be missed dearly.

Matthew is survived by his son Taylor Matthew Martinez, his wife Jessica Lemke-Martinez, his Father Robert Martinez, his Mother Elizabeth Jean Martinez, his sister Amanda Kathleen Martinez and niece Madison Cowan, all of El Paso, TX; his Uncle and Aunt, Karl and Christa MacOmber of Tucson AZ, and numerous cousins in Arizona.
