Max
Heidenreich
Jul 5, 1946 — Oct 14, 2026
Max Heidenrich passed away on October 14, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories, friendships, adventures, and stories that will be told for years to come.
Max was a man who truly loved life. Independent, adventurous, and always ready for whatever came next, he had a way of making life more interesting. You never quite knew what Max might do next, but you could count on it being memorable.
He began his career as a young horseman, buying and selling horses and tack, before building a long and successful career in real estate. Max understood that success was about more than business; it was about people. He built his career on lasting relationships, earning the trust and friendship of countless people along the way.
Outside of work, Max loved adventure, riding motorcycles, and some might remember him cruising around in his unmistakable yellow Hummer. But his favorite place was always the lake. Whether boating, teaching someone how to ski, or gathering family and friends for a day of fun, Max was happiest sharing his favorite place with the people he loved.
Max is survived by his three children, Christi Helmer and her husband, Mark; Amy Alsup and her husband, Robert; and Lex Heidenrich and his wife, Victoria. He is also survived by his stepson, Mike Avison and wife Cindy, seven beloved grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. As well as his sister Krissy MacCurdy and husband Chris. Two niece's and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his stepson, Shane; his brothers, Jerry and Eric as well as his mom and dad.
Max also endured the heartbreaking loss of his beloved wife of 32 years, Pam Avison, who passed away on July 17, just three months before him. Their lives and love were deeply intertwined, and their losses will be felt by all who knew and loved them.
Max will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his love of the lake, his devotion to his family, and the friendships he built throughout his life. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and stories that will continue to be shared for generations. The family is having a private service at the cemetery.
