Maxine Beatt was born on September4, 1926. She passed peacefully November 11, 2015. She was preceded in death by her son Don. She is survived by her sons Mike (Gaye), Keith (Debra), daughter Anita (Merlin) and daughter-in-law Debbie. Also, nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She had been a member of Southminster Presbyterian Church since 1954 and was known as the 'Hat Lady', wearing a stylish hat every Sunday. She served as Elder and Deacon and played an important role in the creation of the Columbarium and Memorial Garden. She enjoyed ballroom dancing. Served as President of the Cotillion Dance Club and was a member of many others. Maxine was a hard working single mom raising 4 children. In 1979, she went to work for Phillips Petroleum and retired in 1997. She spent the last two years enjoying an easy life at Aberdeen Heights Assisted Living. Thanks to Seasons Hospice for their loving care. She will be missed by all. Donations in her honor may be sent to Southminster Presbyterian Church Memorial Garden Fund.
