Michael Lee Cole, 65, passed away peacefully in his home in Tulsa, Oklahoma on August 24, 2015 after a terminal illness. Born in Richwood, West Virginia to Harlie Lee and Nellie Cole on Mar. 9, 1950. He grew up in Trenton, Michigan and graduated from Harding University in 1972 with a BA in Accounting. He came to Tulsa, Oklahoma to join the auditing firm, Arthur Young. His career included Controller at Lawhon Furniture, owner of JM Dinette and Barstools, controller of Hudson Trail Outfitters in Maryland, and he joined Moodys Jewelry in 1992 as Controller, and then Chief Financial Officer. But his most important job was that of husband, son, father, grandfather and brother. To all who knew him, he was an anchor, ally, advisor and unwavering friend. Survivors include his wife of forty years, Lisa Cole; daughter: Leslie Quinton (and husband Rick); son: David Cole (and wife Jamie); three grandchildren; mother: Nellie Cole and brother: Dave Cole. A special thank you to the nurses and staff of St. Johns Hospice and caregivers, Lupe, Candi and John. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, Aug, 27, 2015, at Park Plaza Church of Christ, at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease Foundation, Inc. (www.cjdfoundation.org).
