Michael Victor Forrest (Mikal) Hunt, 22, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away quietly Monday morning November 11, 2013. Michael was born in Harlingen, Texas on November 28, 1990. His adoptive parents, Linda Jo Lacey and Victor Lee Hunt brought him to Tulsa when he was two weeks old. Michael attended Temple Israel Preschool, the Montessori school, Eisenhower Elementary, Carver Middle School, and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. He also attended Circle in the Square, a highly competitive acting conservatory in New York City for a year. Michael was a Senior at the University of Tulsa, majoring in Musical Theatre. During his time there he starred as Moritz in Spring Awakening, Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors, Carney in Biloxi Blues, and Jack in Into the Woods. His love of performing began at age six when he debuted in Raggedy Ann and Andy with Actors and Children's Theatre. Throughout his life he performed in local productions of Christmas Carol, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Annie, Babes in Toyland, Children of Eden, Ragtime, Moby Dick, and Much Ado about Nothing. He also played LeFou in Theatre Arts' Production of Beauty and the Beast. Michael also played competitive youth soccer with the Tulsa Nationals, was a host at McNellie's, and a counselor at Camp Takatoka. Michael's mother passed away in 2008. He is survived by his father, Victor, and his loving sister, Elisabeth. A Memorial Service will be held at All Souls Unitarian Church at 4pm Friday, November 15, 2013. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in his name to the Tristesse Grief Center in Tulsa. Michael was an incredible friend to everyone that knew him, a great singer/actor/dancer, and a promising athlete. He will be missed but never forgotten.
