Michael Defrain Griffith, 73, a gentleman to the last, died the evening of February 8, 2018 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Michael was born January 8, 1945 in Tulsa, the only child of Archie and Lorene Griffith. He attended the University of Kansas, receiving a B.S. in Education in 1967 and an M.B.A. in 1971. In recent years he retired from a career in real estate with Walter Associates. He formerly owned Amenities, a Tulsa-based decorative building supply business. His varied passions included musical theater, modern design, antiques, and his six dogs. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 49 years Betty; his son Scott; his daughter-in-law Kristy; his grandchildren Levi and Lily; his cousin Jan Melton and family; and many devoted friends. Memorial Services will be held at St Paul's United Methodist Church, 1442 S. Quaker Ave., at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 15, 2018.
