Nancy Thompson died early Thursday morning, December 5, 2013, in Tulsa after a long battle with cancer. She was 58. Ms. Thompson was a lifelong Tulsan who graduated from Edison High School and obtained Bachelors and Masters Degrees from the University of Tulsa. She was an expert in advanced computer languages and taught courses in these languages at TCC. She later returned to school and recieved her degree as a Physicians Assistant which she worked at until her illness stopped her. She was an active member of Asbury United Methodist Church through which she went on medical missions around the world. She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Thompson, Jr.; her stepfather, Jack Osborn, and her sister, Karen Nail. Ms. Thompson was a dedicated mother and she is survived by her two sons, Kenn and Andrew Williamson; her brother, Larry Thompson; her three nephews, Ross Thompson, Nick Thompson, and Spencer Nail; and her mother, Peggy Osborn. Service will be held at Asbury United Methodist Church at 11am on Saturday, December 14, 2013. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to Asbury United Methodist Church with Medical Mission Scholarship Fund in the memo to be given in Nancys name.
