Odis Dockie Kosier, 'Doc,' 71, of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, December 1, 2012, after his long battle with cancer. Doc was born on July 2, 1941 in Dyer, Arkansas to Coy Kosier and Lois Burgett. After graduating from Alma High School in Alma, Arkansas, Doc served for two years as a U.S. Marine rifle expert. He received a medal for good conduct. He was discharged under honorable condition in 1964 from the 2nd Bn., 1st ITR, MCB, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Doc married Sharon Victoria Rogers, 'Vickie,' on July 23, 1964. He and Vickie shared a love of fishing. By trade, Doc was a carpenter, employed by Carpenter Local Union 943 for 15 years. Doc is survived by his wife Vickie Kosier of Sand Springs, daughter Angela Rigsby, married to Jim Rigsby, daughter Christi Kosier-Brawner, married to Mark Brawner, and son Bryan Kosier; granddaughters Jessica Chaney, married to Branden Chaney, Julia Rigsby, Jennifer Rigsby, Karlee Hodson, Kelsie Hodson, Bailey Kosier, and Olivia Kosier; grandson Dalton Kosier; great grandchildren Abraham Chaney, Leonard Chaney, and Konnor Malone.
