Obituary

Patricia Ann Baker, 87 of Jenks, Oklahoma passed from this life on July 28, 2025. She was born in Tulsa, OK to Frederick and Mary Louise Grimes. Patti married Kenneth D. Baker (1931-1980) in 1958 and loved being a wife and mother to their two boys.

She was a proud graduate of Will Rogers High School ('55) and attended OSU where she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority. She cherished the relationships made with her classmates and many of those friendships continued throughout her life. The WRHS Class of '55 reunion committee meetings were some of her favorite outings.

In 1980 Patti moved to Dallas, TX and joined several fellow Tulsans working in the oil and gas industry. Her friends there encouraged her to fulfill her dreams as they traveled together to Africa, New Zealand, Holland, Egypt, Ireland, England and Scotland.

Patti enjoyed her career as secretary for U.S. Senator Dewey Bartlett and Senator Don Nickles. She often traveled to Washington, D.C. and participated in the 1984 Republican Convention. She was a proud patriot and enjoyed sharing her love and respect for the country with others.

Perhaps her greatest joy was her family. She adored showering those she loved with gifts and treasured the time spent together. Her love of children was evident as she volunteered at her children's schools and later in life as a substitute teacher. She will forever be remembered by her granddaughter as "my favorite Mimi".

She is preceded in death by son, Kerby (1963-2017) and grandson, Casey Wood (1984-2018). Survivors include son, Kelly Baker and his wife, Debbie of Jenks. Grandchild, Kelsey and husband, Beau Graham, two great grandchildren Cooper (7), and Carter (1), of Jenks.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
