Patrick Eugene Thornbrugh was born July 7, 1926, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Lewis Thornbrugh and Gladys Hall. Pat was raised in Tulsa, he attended Central High School and Oklahoma School of Accounting. In 1943, Pat joined the United States Marine Corps and was a World War II and Korea veteran. On November 16, 1946, he married Joy Meade. His occupation as an oil and gas accountant gave him and his family opportunity to travel. Besides traveling extensively in Europe, they lived in Tripoli, Libya, Mersin, Turkey and London England. In 1965 he brought his family back to Oklahoma. Pat passed away at his home in Sand Springs on August 6, 2016. He is survived by his wife Joy; two daughters; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Olivet Baptist Church in Sand Springs.
