Patti June Laird, was born February 1, 1938 in Hobbs, New Mexico. Patti died peacefully at home on January 1, 2013,in the presence of her loving husband, Doug and son, Rick, following a short battle with pancreatitis. She was preceded in death by her parents, L. A. (Jack) Jackson and Nada F. Jackson and by a daughter, Amie Boss. Patti was very involved with her church, St. Bede's Episcopal Church of Westport, where she contributed her many talents, including her accounting and occasionally her piano skills. She and her husband both completed the Education for Ministry Program sponsored by Sewanee The University of the South, a four year program of theological study and community. Patti graduated from Will Rogers High School (1956), received her Bachelors Degree from The University of Tulsa in 1961) and her JD degree from their College of Law in 1970 and was admitted to the Oklahoma bar the same year.
