Obituary

Peggy Ann Bond, 81, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on the evening of Tuesday, January 5, 2015. Peggy was born in rural Custer County near Weatherford, Oklahoma to Edgar and Mildred Lawter on June 9, 1934. She married Clifford R. Bond July 26, 1958 in Oklahoma City, OK. Peggy was a member of First Baptist Church of Sapulpa where she volunteered for many years in the church office, the children's Sunday school department and the Nursing Home Ministry. Additionally, she volunteered with Meals on Wheels and at Hillcrest Hospital as a 'cuddler' in the 'Special Care Nursery.' She LOVED to rock those babies! She had been a member of Petroleum Engineers Wives, Sapulpa Reading Club and a Bridge Club started in 1972 by her dear friend, Cleta Pittman. Peggy is survived by her two children: son, Jeffery D. Bond of Sapulpa and daughter, Linda Page and husband, Rick of Jenks; her granddaughter, the 'light of her life' Cristen Ocepek and husband, Nick of Tulsa, OK; three great-grandchildren: Sagan, Waverley and Roark; two sisters-in-law, Lorene Lawter and Margaret Belz; and several nieces and nephews. Also, one spoiled rotten Lhasa Apso, 'Missy.' She is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford R. Bond; her parents, Edgar and Mildred Lawter; her granddaughter, also the 'light of her life' Alicia Lynn Page; and her brother, Glen Lawter. A celebration of Peggy's life will be held at 1:30pm on Saturday, January 9, 2016, at First Baptist Church of Sapulpa, 200 S Elm Street, Sapulpa, OK 74066. Service will be officiated by Page Cole.
