Philip Wasson Spring, 73, passed away on February 28, 2015 in the morning hours at his home in Tulsa, Oklahoma surrounded by his loved ones. Mr. Spring was born on September 17, 1941 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Truman and Evelyn Spring. Phil considered himself a Texas native although moving to Tulsa in 1963 to go to work for Rockwell International where he remained for 35 years as a contract analyst until his retirement in 1998. Phil graduated from Amarillo High School in Amarillo, Texas and from Abilene Christian University in 1962. Phil was an avid golfer and sports fan and was involved with sports in the Tulsa School System where for years he coached golf and softball. Phil was a wonderful Christian man with deep faith and attended the 10 th and Rockford Church of Christ for over 30 years and most recently was a member of the Memorial Drive Church of Christ. Phil was known for his diligent study of the Bible and he was a dedicated teacher. To know Phil was to love Phil and those who were fortunate enough to know him found joy in his remarkable laughter and solace in his kind counsel. He was preceded in death by his father, Truman E. Spring and Evelyn Wasson Spring of Houston, Texas. Survivors include his three children and (spouses) Stacy Spring Record (Todd) of Wichita, Kansas; Stephanie Spring (Nicole Garrett) of Tulsa and Shannon Spring of Dillingham, Alaska. His loving grandchildren; Karson Record of Lawrence, Kansas; Dalton Record of Wichita, Kansas; Jaxton Garrett-Spring and Boone Garrett-Spring both of Tulsa. The mother of his children: Judy O'Neal Spring of Clovis, New Mexico. His siblings: Truman Spring, Jr. (Jane) of Dallas, Texas, Trudi Spring Allison (Bob) of Wimberley, Texas; Susan Spring of Alpine, Texas and Mark Lawson Spring of Missoula, Montana; his paternal aunt Christine Spring Griffin of Shreveport, Louisiana; and a host of cousins and loving nieces and nephews.
