Rhonda Gale Hood, 53, of Ada passed away Saturday June 7,2014. She died after being recently hospitalized in the Integris Stroke Center in Oklahoma City. She was a lifelong resident of Pontotoc County. She was a 1979 graduate of Vanoss High School. She attended East Central University where she graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing. Rhonda was a Registered Nurse for the Chickasaw Health Services until 2009. Survivors include her brothers Dr. Ron Hood and wife Donna of Broken Arrow, OK, Robin Hood and wife Rebecca of Stratford, OK. Nieces, Natalie Hood of Saint Louis, MO, and Nicole Hood of Broken Arrow, OK. , Nephew Ryan Hood of Ada. Niece Misty and husband Joel Luper and their children of Denison, TX. Nephew Chad Ridgway, wife Suzy, and their children of Oil Center. She is survived by numerous other relatives and friends. Rhonda was preceded in Death by her parents, Gene and Wanda Hood, and her sister Renee Hood, all of Ada. A Memorial Service will be held for Rhonda at Center Freewill Baptist Church on Saturday June 14, 2014 at 11a.m. Officiating is Rev. Earl Hood, a cousin of the deceased.
