Richard Truman Artz, 76, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed away on December 27, 2020, at
5:26 AM in his home surrounded by family. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Tulsa area at a later date due to Covid, hopefully in the spring or summer.
Richard was born on March 8, 1944, in Lamar, Colorado, the first son of Norman and Virginia
Artz, both deceased. He had two siblings, an older sister, Shirley, and a younger brother,

Rick, had a passion for cars and motorcycles, and he loved to race anything with wheels. After
graduating from Bentonville High School, he moved to Oklahoma and went on to earn a degree in mechanics from Oklahoma State University in 1965. He worked at Lincoln-Mercury
Dealership as a mechanic and shop foreman for 13 years before he was hired at Ford Glass
Plant in 1978. He worked there as a high-low technician until he retired at the age of 66. No
matter where he was living, he enjoyed working on cars and motors and was well-known as the best, most trusted mechanic in the area.
Richard is survived by his wife, Reva, and 5 adult children, daughters Kristyna and husband Tim Yeager of Centennial, Colorado, Melissa and husband Mark Kyle of Bentonville, Arkansas, and sons Randal and wife Lesli Artz of Broken Arrow, Richard C.
