Robert Raymond Birkes, age 78 passed away Thursday, November 27, 2014 in Tulsa. Robert was born February 2, 1936 in Vinita to Raymond and Mable Marie (Drake) Birkes. He worked as a retail manager. Robert is survived by his children: Jerry Birkes (Sue) of Tahlequah, Sherida Birkes (David) of Tulsa and Terry Birkes (Danny) of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; grandchildren: Justin Birkes (Laura) of Tulsa and Sherida Thatcher (Michael) of Ft. Irwin, California; four great grandchildren; brother: Paul Dixon of Rocks, Kansas and former wife Donna Birkes. Robert is preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Mable; sister Betty Jones and beloved grandmother Eva Drake. No services have been planned for Mr. Birkes.
