Robert (Bob) E. Evans passed away at his home on August 12, 2017 from cancer. He was born on October 27, 1949 to George and Marge Evans in Tulsa. He graduated from Nathan Hale High School in 1968. After high school, he married Sharon Magos and his first son Ron was born. Bob served in the Oklahoma Army National Guard as a 2nd Lieutenant. In 1972, he married Devora Dyer and his second son Randy was born. Bob spent his professional career selling industrial cutting tools for over 30 years. A lover of the outdoors, he went camping, hunting and fishing every chance he could. He was an Assistant Scout Master of Boy Scout Troop 17. He stayed active in the Boy Scouts even after his youngest son was grown. Bob made friends easily and made it a point to befriend as many of his neighbors as he could. For many years, he was known as the Block Captain of 52nd Street. Later he was active in the neighborhood association in his Bixby neighborhood. In recent years he found a church home in Spirit Life Church and dedicated himself to Christ. A patriot at heart, he was active in the Bixby political community serving as a Tulsa County GOP Convention Delegate. He was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Devora Evans. Recently, his wife of 6 years Jamie (Hancock) Evans passed away. He is survived by his son Ron (Cathie) Evans, his son Randy (Michelle) Evans, his sister Sharon (George) Campbell, his brother Gary (Darla) Evans, and many other family and friends who were as dear to him as his immediate family. A great source of joy in his life for the last 18 years were his grandchildren Katie, Ryan, Lily and Grace.
