Robert S. Scharf, 95, September 22, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born August 14, 1922 near Granite City, Illinois to William Scharf and Leona Kannapel, the 5th of 7 children. Worked at a naval base in Kodiak Alaska as a young man, then served as a US Army combat infantryman in Germany during WWII. After the war, he worked several jobs in Chicago and St. Louis, ultimately becoming a Concrete Engineer for Mo. Portland Cement Co., from which he retired. He loved to travel and golf with his beloved wife Irma. Predeceased by Irma, and son Paul Scharf. Loving father of David Scharf; loving father-in-law of Karen Scharf; dear grandfather of Kelly Lemons, Laura Yamamoto, Ellen McGuire, Tom and Joe Scharf and Erin Smart. Loving great-grand father of nine.
