Obituary

Robert L. 'Bob' Wilson, 89 years old, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, formerly long-time resident of Ponca City, Oklahoma, was born May 6, 1923 to Homer and Grace (Turnham) Wilson at Versailles, Illinois, and passed away April 11, 2013. Bob was united in marriage to Anna Lee 'Ann' Witcher on July, 6, 1952 at Madison Park Christian Church in Quincy, Illinois. He was employed by Continental Oil Company (CONOCO) in Denver, Colorado and Ponca City, Oklahoma, retiring in Ponca City, Oklahoma, May1, 1985, after 30 years of service. After retirement he worked in the Conoco Retirement Group, scheduling tours in the complex. He was a long-time member of Eastern Heights Christian Church in Ponca City, the Lions Club, and the American Legion. Bob and Ann have been living at the Country Club of Woodland Hills in Tulsa, Oklahoma for the last 8 years. He enjoyed most all sports, fishing, and hunting. During WW II, Bob was in the Army Air Force, serving with the 5th Air Force for 33 months in Australia, New Guinea, Netherlands East Indies, Philippines, Okinawa, and Japan. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Woodrow Wilson, and sisters, Norma Noble and Catherine Randolph. Survivors include wife, Anna L. 'Ann' (Witcher) Wilson, one daughter, Patricia Ann Tewksbury, and grandson, Tanner Tewksbury of Kellyville, Oklahoma; one son, Curtis Lee Wilson and wife Shelly; and grandsons Cody and wife Laurie, and Micah of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Roman of Princeton, New Jersey; brother-in-law, Larry Witcher and wife Marilynn of Lawson, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Eastern Heights Christian Church, 5100 Lake Road, Ponca City, Oklahoma, Oklahoma 74604.
